Texas Tornado & Drop N Aces Team Up
Texas Tornado hockey and Drop N Aces are offering some great rewards to our players! Look for the following:

We will be giving away 80 tickets to Tornado games.

We will have Tornado partner cards for all of our Drop N Aces members, These cards will give you discounts for many places around the metroplex,.

All Drop N Aces members will receive discounts on tickets to regular season games. You can order your tickets through their toll-free number or through Ticketmaster.(More information coming soon)

Random players and a guest will receive VIP tickets to games throughout the season.

The top 100 Drop N Aces players will be invited to the annual Dog Tag Tournament. The tournament will be held in the Dr. Pepper Arena Ice Level Party Zone and all players will get in to the tournament and Tornado game free of charge. Game will be held on Saturday 22-OCT-2011

SHUCKERS - NO GAMES: Effective immediately, Shuckers will be closed on Mondays & Tuesdays so we will not be hosting weekly poker at that location on Tuesdays. We continue to work with them and look forward to hosting some of our monthly events there in the future. We are hoping to resume weekly play there sometime in the Spring.

Website Upgrades
For those of you who have visited the website lately, you have probably noticed some changes. You may see more changes in the next few months as we continue to enhance the website to make it a fun community for our members to hang out.

Players Dashboard: To make it easier for our players to find information that relates to their game play, you can now go to the Players Dashboard to find your points, lotto information, upcoming special events, etc.

Calendar of Special Events: The website will have a calendar that lists all of our special events and you can preregister through that calendar link. When you preregister for a special event, you will receive an email with your ticket to play. People who register in this manner will have guaranteed seats at the special event.

Forum and Chat: The new Forum page allows you to discuss multiple topics, both poker-related and non poker-related. There is also a Chat room for live discussions.

Avatars: Once you log-in to the website, you can now upload your own picture for your avatar.

Past Issues of Newsletters: Missed something in a newsletter? There is now a link to access past issues of our newsletter.
Games: We have added games to the website for you to play.

Our new Refer a Friend program also gives you an opportunity to obtain extra chips. For each “NEW to Drop N Aces” player that you bring to a location, you will receive $2,000 per person, up to a maximum of $10,000.

With the new Drop N Aces Lotto game, you can win up to $5,000 extra chips each week that can be used at your choice of locations (excluding the Drop N Aces Annual Main Event). You must be a registered member of the Drop N Aces Poker League to play. (Registered = played at a Drop N Aces event and provided your email address so that you can be assigned a player number. Player number required to play.) See our website for official details and you can even view a video of John explaining the game. (And we all know that you miss his smiling face!)

On 15 July 2010, I enlisted into the Texas State Guard. I joined the guard to serve my fellow citizens, not just the citizens of Texas but the citizens of the United States.
Yesterday, I received word that I was being called for duty. This assignment could last up to 1 year. At this point in time I am not allowed to share the detail of my deployment, as of yet. Once I get settled in to my duties, I will have my wife send out an update.
So with this being said I want to ENSURE everyone, that the league will continue to grow without me. (I will be watching)
Chris Kans will be my head Tournament Director in my absence, Rob Cruson will take over my locations (Lochranns & Savannah Grill). My wife (Teresa) will continue to update the league stats.

Due to contractual disputes, Silver City will no longer be hosting Drop N Aces events effective immediately.
Please feel free to visit any of our other locations to receive the high quality of service that you have come to expect from Drop N Aces. The new playing season starts on July 1, with your points accumulating toward qualification and bonus chips for the Annual Drop N Aces Playoff prior to the 2011 World Series of Poker
